SOLD BKH36 1962 Flattop

Last year 1962 Serial #41219. Been converted and original parts lost. Have a work order from Ruger from 1983 when it was converted, the owner requested new grips, that's why the grips are newer. No mention of a new grip frame........ Does have an XR3RED grip frame, but the letter I sent for has a May ship date. According to RENE it would need an October or later ship date to have come from the factory with the XR3RED GF.
Check out the pics, some wear, but a nice 8 groove bore.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if that gun hadn't shipped with the XR3-RED, but I guess we'll never know.

8-groove barrel makes it a Type 4 on Bob's List.

Well I had just told my Pop a few days ago that I could only think of 3 revolvers that I wanted to buy. I already have everything else I want and way more than I need. This one was one of those 3. It is probably the only one I will buy as well as it has a practical purpose and for me the other 2 don't.

I thought that also, but it has Alcoa G2 cast into the grip frame, and chet15 says "Alcoa G2 didn't start until after October 1966"
It would have had to have been just Alcoa G..................
