They don't shoot them, but every year the Bigfoot Bar near Missoula, Montana, sponsors a Bigfoot hunt. I believe the winner each year, who first finds a Bigfoot, gets free beer for some time. Someone actually finds a Bigfoot there every year.

Also, I met a man in Craig, Colorado a few years ago who told me that he actually found a Bigfoot once, but it turned out to be just his Brother-in-law.

In South Florida they are called Swamp Apes. There are sightings all the time. Check YouTube, they have a couple of videos. I think a large revolver cartridge would take one without any problems. :D

I thought, in Fla., they were called skunk apes ? Here, when I walk the dog after work, midnite, I tell the wife we're going Squatchin' ! My squatch loads are 255WFN on 6grs of Unique. As much as I feel comfortable with in the little Bulldog. The NM Vaq Sheriff gets 7grs of Unique. Conveniently these double as bear loads. Stay safe folks !
