Just updated to build 10122. It's GREAT. It already feels more polished than 8.1

Yes in 10 they brought back the start button and start menu. It's a hybrid Windows 7 start menu, with a mini tiles pull out menu with full screen option.

Hey how's life over in Grandbury? Lot's of rain your way?

Is this the next step after 8.1? Is it formulated to work with touch screens the way 8.1 is?

Good to hear....I just spilled a full glass of red over my HP Pavillion running 8.1, the other night. Not sure how much longer I have on this, I've missed Windows 7 set up since I moved up or maybe down.......to 8.1

My computer suffered some damage due to a lightning strike so I started looking at replacements. I was discouraged by the high prices and the fact that they all came with Windows 8 installed. My wife has that on her lap top, keeps me POed. I stumbled across Walmart's reconditioned lease returns. After talking to the IT guy at work I purchased a Dell with twice the memory my old computer had for less than $200, with a 3 year service plan and WINDOWS 7 It's been about a month and I'm still happy.

Yes. The start button and start menu are back, it's a hybrid 7 style with the shut down at the bottom left, not the top right like 8/8.1 has.

The start menu features a pullout tiles menu.

Tablet mode is fully optimized for touch screens and can easily be switched on and off.

Control panel and Windows updates are easily accessible.

Changing and adding desktop icons is easy.

Windows 8.1 is a joke but it runs my games. Gaming and Netflix is all I use Windows for anyway. For everything else, there's Linux.

I bought a computer just before Win 7 was upgraded to the 8's... from the reviews, I guess I'm lucky to have bought the Win 7?

Say "hello" to Gordon Bond(Bond Arms)!

Hey Kevin!

Life in Granbury is good! Business is growing. We had a LOT of rain. The lake filled up. I'm happy.

What have you been up to lately my friend?
