Just bought a P345 this morning and took it to the range. What a great pistol. The SA trigger action is excellent, light and crisp. DA shooting is similar to my LCP. I'm a lot more accurate at 25yds with this .45 than my other striker fired .45. Mostly I suspect due to the lighter trigger. So far I'm very pleased with the first 120 rounds fired.

Don't dry fire it without the magazine in. It damages the firing pin

P.S. It's the most comfortable 45acp I own.

I picked up a used P345 about a month ago and have had it to the range twice. Great ergonomics and a really good trigger. But concur with the warning about dry fire -- make sure that you have the mag in place. Have a friend who didn't heed that warning!!

Yep, the warning about dry firing without a magazine is the same with my SR9 too. One thing I really like about the 345 is how easy it is to rack the slide.

The p345 is a great bargain. I have 1911's which cost 6-7 times more than my 345 but for the money the 345 is a steal!
I think Ruger priced the 345 so cheap it has never gotten the respect it deserves.
