I have been using HS precision stocks for the past 10+ years. The first time I heard about them, I thought BS. But dummy still bought one (now delighted dummy).
The claim was the were developed for USMC Sniper program, torque action screws to 65 inlbs and the gun repeats within 1 MOA.
I shoot silhouette both high-power and 22 lr. Bought the stock for high-power, the thumb-hole silhouette version.
It is the most comfortable off hand stock I own, and own several, including McMillian (2X), Bell & Carlson (2X).
Remove action from HS stock, clamp in Workmate, scrub the heck out of it, reassemble and torque ($120 dial torque wrench) up in increments to 65 inlbs. SAME POINT OF IMPACT EVERY TIME! Less than 1/2 MOA., within the varriation of my ammunition.
I now own about 8 of their stocks and have been talking to a gun smith regarding getting one modified to fit an Anschutz 54.18 MS Rep.
I have one Ruger stock, long action magnum. Same results, but was unhappy with accuracy on the Ruger and sold it. Kept the stock and still have it for use in the future.
What the HS stock did for the Ruger was consistency in group size and precision relative to aim. My issue was the group size was too large, centered around the repeatable point of aim. Both point of aim/impact and group size stayed repeatable in the HS stock.
Are they worth the money, to me a DEFINITE YES
