Looking at some of my firearms I just realized that I have a pretty good sampling of American history:

My Hawken muzzeloder covers the Mountain Man days. My Colt cap and ball takes care of the earlier days of the West and the Civil War, and my Colt Single Action Army the post war days of the West. My Winchester models 1890 and 1894 fill the gap up to WWI where my Colt 1911 and Springfield 03A3 fits in. My M-1 carbine was used in WWII, Korea, and the early days of Vietnam.

Ones to better complete this would be a Revolutionary war musket, a Pennsylvanian rifle, and an M-1, and maybe an M-14.

Any thoughts on other additions?

How about a Thompson, and remember, Patton carried a pair of Colt 1908s.

I would say, maybe add a Smith & Wesson model 10 to the group to represent that period?

I think you should add period correct bayonets and/or swords to complement the firearms. Back then no rifle was complete without a bayonet, and during the Revolution, 1812, the Mexican-American war, & Civil war both swords and bayonets were essential, as were bayonets in the World Wars & Korea.

And if you can swing it, a replica Napoleon light field cannon. See http://www.jmelledge.com/ .
