I saw one of these recently. The fit and finish were SUPERB. Who makes these? I was told Bersa, and when looking on Bersa's website I DID see a product category for them so I suppose it's true? Where are these made?

As far as I can see, they are made by Metroarms, which is based in the Philippines.

I have one of there GI models i picked up at a lgs that functions as well as my sr1911, It was cheap and a decent platform for some tabletop gunsmithing. So far I've added better sites, an extended beavertail, extended safety, and grips from my sr1911.

The Philippines is tooling up to be a major arms producer. They've always done some. I used to have a Squires-Bingham .22 rifle that was made in the Philippines. It was a pretty good rifle. On the other hand, I looked at an Armscor short barreled .38 special revolver a couple of weeks ago that was clunky as heck, with a horrible trigger, and had a really odd finish. I passed

If you didn't click on a link ..... and I don't see one posted by the OP ..... I'm guessing it's something on your computer.
