Not the statement I was trying to make on a discontinued rifle but if your local shop has an abundance of them then you go ahead and do such.

No good deed goes unpunished....

powder smoke.
Good for you!! Keep the business and money in your neighborhood. I wish more people around here thought like you do!! Buds can jump in the lake!!

Anyway, regardless of the seller, I know many folk are still looking for the all-weather so I am trying to help where I can.

Thanks LT.

For the guys that say support the local shops, why would I pay 30% more for the same rifle/accessories and suffer rude, arrogant treatment for the privilege of paying the premium?

Of the gun shops in my area (there are lots) only ONE is competitive. The rest are staffed by self absorbed, ignorant individuals whose sole purpose in life is to try to sell bricks of .22 for $50 each still. No thanks.

The thread is good for three things so far, where to find a discontinued brand new all-weather, a place for haters to hate, and a Sunday morning chuckle.

Praise Jesus !

If any given LGS carries these discontinued All Weather Hawkeyes, that's great! But I suspect they don't. But we're still wrong for not buying from our LGS.

I very recently bought a SIG 226 E2 in .40 . I shopped LGS's everywhere I went, but none of the LGS's carried this discontinued model. But alas, Bud's still has them for a very decent price. I bought one, then immediately heard from the same folks that I was putting my LGS out of business. :?
