AIM Rings for Mini

Looking for lower rings for my Mini, came across alloy rings by AIM. 30mm size w/ inserts, they are very inexpensive ($16 each discounted) and look decent. See

I like the alloy because I find it tends to be kinder on scopes than steel rings. Recoil is not a problem on the mini (as it might be on the Blackhawk which these also fit).

Has anyone used these?

Don't know anything about those particular rings. Don't know about alloy being "kinder" than steel. I wouldn't discount recoil on a mini when it comes to rings and scopes. While not heavy by any means the recoil impulse can be tough on optics.
