Thanks Cooperhawk: Yes, a soldier died today. I will grieve for that soldier, I will grieve for his family. I did my time, and it was a great time as a youngster. Great friends, good memories but remember that we are all volunteers now. Most WWII vets. were volunteers, defend at any price including death. I expect nothing and will receive nothing for the time I served and that is fine with me. I did it because it was what I thought was right. I really think that most if not all of us feel this way. OOHRAH. Maybe I am a sap, it's just the way I am. Play a tape at my funeral with "Proud to be an American" at my service and I'll be fine. F... the politicians.
