I got a good buy for a NIB with very pretty Circassion wood. Any one know how many of these were made?

Now I'll have to find some Hornady ammo and scope it -- I have an old style 4X Leupold that is looking for something to do.

I think I'll get one of those leather slip over recoil pads too.

Nice wood and good legs are gonna be my downfall.

Much to my surprise the old model, long tube, 4X Leupold did not provide ample eye relief w/o creeping the stock! This meant I was a prime candidate for eyebrow rearrangement with the 375 Ruger!

Sooo, I resorted to my favorite old reliable Leupold -- a 6x 42mm fixed model with 4.3 " of eye relief and ample range for rearward postioning in the rings. The new version of this old favorite also has upgraded coatings to give even better low light capability than the older ones. The one hitch is that they no longer offer the scope in a German 4a post and CH reticle -- just a wide and a heavy CH.

So, who knew?
