My son is looking at a Ruger 77 7mm mag serial number 75-82418 which I believe was made in 1981.
The gun is in excellent condition with Ruger rings and a Weaver variable micro trac scope.
Can anyone tell me what a fair price would be?
Thanks for your help.

Looking at the pictures on my phone. No sights, red pad, tang safety, not an international if that was even a thing in 81, not a round top receiver, the bolt knob looks round so I don't think it is a flat bolt but can't really see the handle. It says Ruger M77 on receiver.

Think he is getting it for $400 their asking price.

400 is a deal. I went to a gun auction 2 weeks ago. there were 3 77s ,cheapest was $830 and these were used guns ,nicks , scratches etc .

Personally I prefer the Mark II because of the 3 position safety, I can not recall seeing a m77 red pad tang safety in quality condition going for anything close to $400. Although $600 would actually still be a "STEAL" on a 7mag in great condition.
