Bought a box of 525 brass-plated hp .22 at Academy today for $28.99. I usually only see boxes of 50,and sometimes 100,in the case.

One reason there are 525 is at least 25 will fail to fire. Thay has been my experience as caretaker at the range.

When you have ones that fail to fire, note the position of the firing pin strike on the rim, rotate the round 180 degrees, put it back in the gun and try again.

In 99% of the cases it will now fire.
