Thank you all. I have decided to start the search for one of these. Hope I live long enough and don't lose my job again. Darned buyouts. By the way, I'm new here and I've enjoyed lurking and reading for a while.

As you could see from the picture 38-40 / 10 MM was built on full size NMBH frame (same as NMSBH):

Ruger needs to do another run of these on the medium flat-top frame.

One of our members gave us an interesting dimensional comparison a little while back. In a nut shell the SAAMI .38-40 maximum rim diameter is too large for the mid-frame. As they are actually manufactured most .38-40 and .44-40 cases would fit, but Ruger builds guns accept cartridges that meet SAAMI dimensions.

A mid-frame 10 mm with an extra .40 S&W cylinder would be a way for those of us who own autos in both calibers to plink away reloads that won't feed in our autos. We all make an occasional unfortunate batch and that would be more fun than pulling bullets.

I have two OMBH's converted by Bowen to 38 WCF, one with a Bisley grip frame. Both nice lookers and nice shooters!

I am also in the market for a 38-40/10mm Buckeye. If Ruger through one of their current distributors would come out with a 10mm/40S&W convertible I would be warm and fuzzy with that also.
