Not to many of these around, Ivory 10" (#18) and possibly the highest numbered Stag 8" (#81). Bought these from a gentleman named Len in 2000, he couldn't get a consecutive set so he asked for Stag to be inverse of Ivory. Here's what's mostly know about these rare Bowie's

In 1983 Sturm, Ruger authorized licensing to Don Findley and Ray Morgan to produce 25 ivory handled knives with 10" blade and a total of 225 stag handled knives with 8" blade. The issue was produced as a commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of Ruger Blackhawk production. The knives were produced by the Bone Knife Company of Lubbock Texas. The ivory blades were to be numbered 1 through 20, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 and the stag blades were to be numbered with the remaining serial numbers, 21 through 249 except for the previously reserved ivory numbers. Serial numbers 20 and 21 were the only two that were cased together in a single box.

Now for the rest of the story ------ RENE 2/06 (Volume 22, #4), only 45 Falcon knives were produced in total. This includes 3 ivory handled prototypes, sn's 00, 0 and X1, and a stag handled prototype sn X2. Regular production included a total of only twenty-two (22) ivory handled knives and only nineteen (19) stag handled knives. The custom cases I believe were produced by Ray Morgan and are of Hawaiian Koa wood.

sold - buyer pays S&H - multiple payments are ok.

One of the Ivory handled sold on Gunbroker couple years ago on a no reserve auction. I was emailing FT44 during the auction. I don't remember what it sold for, maybe He does and will chime in. These are nice and seem like a fair price for the serious Ruger Collector.

Those knives are beautiful. They are well worth the asking price just because they are custom knives made by famous maker. The fact that the are Ruger knives is just icing on the cake. There was one knife made with a buffalo horn handle. I believe that one is serial number 9.

These Are very Special Knives in Tulsa a few years back Dave L. displayed Ruger Knives that was very impressive I believe Joe W. gave him first place.
He had one in a leather display case that I had never seen before.
Nice to bring up an old thread.
