.22 M1 and M1A

Call me old fashioned, but there's just something fundamental wrong, and insulting, with a M1 look-alike that is chambered in anything other than .30-06. I don't care what it pretends to be, it just ain't an M1 without the en-bloc clips that go "spangggg" and bestow an M1 thumb on the unsuspecting. :)

You can recover from M1 thumb? I thought this was the event that forever leads to M1 sickness. You can't stop with just your first M1 purchase.

Yep. Right after you recover from being grabbed by the stacking swivel, and just before you get to sleep with a fully dis-assembled rifle.

Oh Oh Oh you just had to post this didn't you you heathen!!!!!
Now I have to buy one of those .22 M1A's you know I'm eat up with M1A fever. I have a M1ALoaded and a Socom 16 and that's a GOT TO HAVE for any M1A fan.Guess I need to figure out what gun I'm gonna sell to pay for it!!!.
All kidding. aside a .22 version would be great .Same length, weight and manual of arms a great way to keep up my skills without costing a small fortune in ammo and I can shoot on my little range in my back yard ,anybody wanna buy a wife, sister in law, dog, arm or leg?If I had a first born it would be up for sale too LOL.
BTW for those of you who think it's "cheezy" I guess you don't try to feed a Garand or M1A on a regular basis .It's a great way to enjoy [for me anyway ] my favorite rifle with out going broke . So I'll just say, " it ain't eazy bein cheezy" but it's worth it.
Lou
BTW you can be stricken with M1A thumb too, don't ask me how I know this LOL

Well with this paragraph, their warranty became worthless even for toilet paper.

The manufacturers warranty is limited to the warranty provided herein and the manufacturer does not make any implied warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability or for fitness for a particular purpose. Qualifies it as a "Duncan" (YOYO).

I also noted that they do . . . not . . . have a price listed.
IMO, an M1 Carbine would be much more usable.
But those kits are already available.

I kinda like them both. Getting them OK-ed for sale here in MD might take forever but I would like to own the M1 model. My initial basic weapon was an M1 and I have never had a M1 thumb. I listened to my DI and it paid off.

Hey Lou; have you priced .22lr ammo lately? Handloaded 30-06 might be almost as inexpensive.

According to the firearms blog website the projected price for either the Garand or M1A will be $699.00 ,at that price I guess I'll have to live without one of these unless I win the lottery or some millionaire uncle I don't know I have dies and leaves me at least 700 bucks.

These rifles were shown at both the SHOT show and the 2015 NRA convention and it was reported in several sources so far that these were 10/22 actions and the two pictures I have seen confirmed that.

Both made with Ruger 10/22 actions.
Ad says "all steel receiver". Rugers are aluminum. The trigger guard is different than any of my 10-22's.

Then their ad in the OP link is wrong.

Xtratoy, wrong in what way?
I've found two different sources that bout say the receivers are made from 4140 carbon steel .
They may indeed be 10/22 clones but they are made of steel.
