Does the once fired brass show excessive case stretch? Normally you (I) can only expect a few reloads from Hornet brass. If there is an oblivious ring just ahead of the case web or head, the case life is usually short. The Hornet is really tough on brass.

The once fired appear to NOT be stretched as you described. In comparing to the new brass the once fired is same length. As a bonus, 20 pieces of the brass are primed.
