22/45 Dremel sling shot modification

Has anyone done/tried this el-cheapo mod? Looks like it's easy and a mistake only costs $10 for a new slide stop.

And this el-cheapo mod would be what? A little more information or a link would help.

You pull the bolt stop out, remove the spring and detent, and then grind a post for the spring in the top edge of the BS arm. The spring presses against the bottom of the receiver when re-assembled pushing the BS down except when the mag is in place and empty. The modified BS arm is sold on ebay or you can DIY. The problem is cutting the post in the correct spot.

Perhaps another try at explaining in the "Ruger-Smithing" section?
Don't get me wrong - sounds interesting. But easy to ruin a part without a clear instruction.

Some of the foks at RFC have been using that method for about four years now... guess it works.
