1985 model Ruger 10-22 front sight- I am in need of a photograph of the front sight face, showing the gold bead, for the above year model 10-22 rifle. If i remember correctly, the gold bead protruded from the front sight face and was often "caught" on things resulting in loss of the gold bead. The new sights have arecessed gold bead to prevent this, but i need to see a close-up of the original 1985 front sight face. any help greatly appreciated, send photo and contact info to [email protected]

All those 10/22 front sights are the same, they all catch just as easily as the next 10/22 front due to the gold bead front. There are different profiles of that sight though, some with the bead portion extending all the way across the top of the sight and others with just a short nub of a bead portion (the part of the sight where the bead extends into).
Would be tough to tell which of these a 1985 vintage 10/22 used...and in fact there probably has never been a standard used at any time.
