Here's a boxed 1965 Nickle Plated Colt Python with a 2.5 in barrel, this gun has "killer" Real Ivorie Grips......Gun looks un-fired, no-finer gun out there!

This is some thing I just do NOT know, this is how I got the gun, but boy do they fit nice. I just dont know and dont want to say any thing that could not be true. Ill post pics in the AM or ASAP. and then all the Colt guy's can let us know.

Im unsure if the the box came that way, back in the 60's Colt , and many other gun co. did almost any thing they wanted, not until the gun control act of 1968 things tighten up. the box could be an employee gift, for 20, 30,40 or 50 years working for the Co? or made by and employee and taken out of of the co. with or with out permission? or a presentation gift for a VIP? who really knows back in them days.

between the grips and the box. it maks ya wonder.....only if there was some paperwork?
