180 mini 14 stock pad help

I recently purchased a butt stock pad mini 14 180 and they said that it would fit of course like normal It didnt. I was wondering if anyone knows of a pad that will fit the mini-14 180 series or if they have a tight fitting slip over that i just havent seen yet. Thats the one i just bought.

It should fit the later models. The 180 series was unique, many accessories are not compatible. Parts for the 180's are obsolete, I would buy a later model for a shooter. To me the 180 is a collectable.

I put one of those butt pad/extenders on my 96/44 levergun. They never fit right, they overhang everywhere. They are supposed to fit any of the curved Ruger stocks. I tried grinding it down and found the white plastic inner core. That was pretty much the end of it. I have seen no others on the market. I just went back to the plastic buttplate. :D

A recoil pad for a .223? Really? I never would have thought one would ever be needed.

It's not for recoil, it's for adding length to the stock. Some of us have arms like a gorrila. :D
