RENE says $905. Saw one with no box recently go for over $1700 on GB. What are these things really worth?

As you are aware the RENE is just an average price guide and alot of the guns listed in it will bring far more than the listed amount, depending on condition and total package and number of guns produced.
That said I would value one NIB at $1000.00 to $1200.00. The one that sold for $1700.00 + with out a box and had been shot on GB, was a sellers dream come true IMO!
They like ALL Rare Rugers are not getting any cheaper and in a strong economy (not like the present) I would not be surprised to see them go for even more.
