10/22 Tactical Sling

Help Support Ruger Forum:

Welcome to the forum.

Ruger has labeled some completely different versions as Tactical. Which one do you have?

It may or may not require a sling/swivel adapter, but I trained with the old M-14 sling, and it remains my go-to sling.

I recently purchased a Ruger 10/22 Tactical. I'm looking for recommendations for a sling?

This is my homeboy built 10/22 tactical, I went with the Magpul, it is really some nice stuff.

Sorry I don't have a picture of the sling but there are many options to choose from,,, the Webbing Edge is really nice, does not cut into you. I went with the quick adjust slide.
Went with the lockable claw on the front and push button on the rear.

For years, I've been making my own slings. I bought a 100' coil of good quality nylon 1" web strap and a couple bags of 'slider' connections. Determine correct length, cut strap, melt ends, attach using sliders. Cheap, easy, and serviceable.
Sure, you can spend $$ on a 'tacticool' sling with features you'll never use and dangling ends all over but it won't support your 10-22 any better than a $5 strap.
