10/22 first range trip

This is the beast. Ruger 10/22 action, Hogue overmolded rubber stock, Clerke International barrel. Stock alloy trigger housing with some unidentified replacement parts. The scope is the package x3-9 that came with my Marlin XS7 .243, My intention was to get a better scope for the Marlin. Looking at this target, though, I might invest in a decent scope for this one, as well.

Last target of the day after bore sighting and tuning in the scope. Seventy-five yards off a bench with bipod, and sandbags under the butt. FBB = Federal Blue Box bulk ammo. FAM - Federal Auto Match ammo. You can tell which it liked better.

Best group was #3 at .573 inches, which is less than one MOA.

That gun gets my attention. A really good shooting .22LR is wonderful to own.

Been looking for quite a while for the factory-edition 10/22 Tactical, which looks quite close to the gun you have there.
Always hoping I will get a really accurate 10/22 target-barrel from the factory. Someday it will happen. :mrgreen:
