I was at the LGS the other day and he had a #1 with an international stock. He doesn't own it yet so he wouldn't let me fondle it so I have no more information than what I already said. So does anyone think this thing has any value? Should I jump on it as soon as he buys it?

The RSI, with the international stock, has been made for 30 years. It is not rare, unless it happens to be a 303 British or 30/40 Krag. Whether you jump on it depends on several factors that only you know right now. You really need to tell us more; like caliber, condition, wood quality and price for any readers to offer valid opinions. Tell us how it turns out.

Grab it. It's not important where you start just that you do start buying No1s. A 30-06 black pad RSI set its hook into me a couple years ago. Finding you need to feed that addiction at least once every 6 months. Looking at #5 now a 1V in 22-250. $700 with a couple hundred in extras scope/ammo means I'll only be in the gun for about 500.

The RSI editions, both #1 and M77 (especially the K versions) rock, just about my only interest any more. Still waiting for a K1RSI hopefully someday.
