Other than maybe different grips, is the current Ruger Blackhawk .44 SPL in either of the two barrel offerings any different than the Lipsey Blackhawk one which was recently available, and still found in some stores? The regular BH not the Bisley version. Thanks for any help.

Digging this old thread up to ask this question rather than starting a new one. Help a lead newbie - is the problem with shooting a hard bullet slow lack of obturation and then leading? or is it sticking a squib in the barrel? Thx.

Thx to all for info. Paul, The Skeeter load was one I was looking at. It's interesting however that the max load in Lyman's #49th is 6.9 grains of Unique for #429421 SWC at 767 fps. So the Skeeter load is above max?
