    SR9C ejector Question ?

Ok I pulled a bonehead move again I have not touched the SR9C in a week or two after getting it and I should have reviewed the field striping instructions again :x . I forgot to lower the ejector before I field striped the gun. It did not really give me too much resistance to tell you the...

Black Hawk Base Pin and Transfer Bar Problem

Hey G2, They did not fix the scratch but it is tiny. The repair order says Hammer Replaced Trigger Replaced Grips Replaced ( I found this odd because I replaced the grips with wooden ones before I sent it in and it looks like the same ones where on it when it was returned)...

I was dry firing my SR9C without magazine. Damage?

I gave Ruger a call again this afternoon  . The tech I needed to speak with was on another call. He called me back a little while later and said my SR9C is fine. According to the tech any damage that would be done would be caused to the spring from not traveling its complete distance...

I was dry firing my SR9C without magazine. Damage?

Hey Josh, Thanks for the Info. I swapped the pictures out for better detailed pictures in my first post. Nothing feels like it has any burrs. I guess if I can always get a new mag disconnect or just remove mine if I am worried. I am going to try to get to the range this evening or Sunday and...

I was dry firing my SR9C without magazine. Damage?

Ok I am a dummy. I skimmed the manual but did not really give it a good read until a little while ago. I am pretty pissed at myself for missing that part. I have not even fired the gun yet and I might have broken it. Foolishly I dry fired a good bit without the magazine inserted. How could I...

    SR9C Preemptive peening question?

Well I decided to call Ruger and see what they had to say about it . I explained what the issue was and he said that it is perfectly normal. They barrel will show a small amount of peening in that area and it is nothing to worry about. I feel better now :D

    SR9C Preemptive peening question?

Thanks for the info guys. Sometimes reading all the forums makes me start looking for problems that do not exist. You only hear about the one or two lemons on the web and never the thousands of happy customers. But for some odd reason over the last few years I have had 6 or 7 guns that I...

    SR9C Preemptive peening question?

Hi I just purchased a new SR9C a few days ago. I really like the size and ergonomics of the gun. I have had my share of Glocks and an M&P9 and the SR9C is just a better fit for me. My question is about the barrel peening and how much of a problem is it really? I noticed on my brand new unfired...

Black Hawk Base Pin and Transfer Bar Problem

Thanks everybody for the info and tips And for G2 I am located in the Bucks County PA about 20 miles outside Philadelphia. I went to my Local gun shop at lunch today and played around with some new Blackhawks and none of them had the issue I have. I also called Ruger and explained what was...

Black Hawk Base Pin and Transfer Bar Problem

It was not that bad :D :D . I think the hardest part was pushing the spring down to get the trigger pin back in. I found a correct size bit but did not pay close enough attention to the actual bit driver I was using and it was a little to wide and put a mark or two on the back strap and near...

Black Hawk Base Pin and Transfer Bar Problem

I think I am going to give it a try. I watched the video a few times and read the instructions a few times also. I do not have a screwdriver with hollow ground tips but I have a half decent driver that will work. So you guys do not think it could be the base pin plunger? I wish I...

Black Hawk Base Pin and Transfer Bar Problem

Hi, I just recently bought a new New Model Blackhawk in .357 and I seem to be having a few issues. It seems as though the base pin plunger is pushing the transfer bar at too much of an angle causing the transfer bar to rub against the side of the frame when I pull the trigger. If I back the...
