I'll trade you that forecast for midwest forecast of 90*+ and 90% humidity AND I'll bring 2 shovels.
You win. I will keep the snow. I am WAY too wimpy for that kind of humidity.

I agree to a point (but cold can be bad in other ways).
You can always put on more clothes when it gets cold(er), but you can only take so many clothes off as it gets hotter
30 degree temperature drop in just a couple of days. Wow. I think I'll just keep myself in the South. I wouldn't mind getting to see that country, but I believe I'd want to go in the summer. I'm not a big fan of the cold. Probably because of the time I spent working on open decks on office buildings in the winter. Once you go above about 20 floors everything changes.

Years ago I saw a Gravely snow blower attachment for sale on Craigslist in I think Texas or Arizona. They had it listed as a leaf vacuum to load trucks!
That is one crazy forecast for late June.

My grandfather lived in North Dakota when he was very young and he told a story of a snowstorm on the 4th of July. I guess it happens fairly often up there.
My grandfather said one 4th of July when he was a kid they were sitting on the porch listening to the frogs croaking down on their pond and he decided he would go down and gig a few for breakfast. Said just as he got down to the pond he stepped on a twig and it scared the frogs and they all jumped in the water at the same time. Well just when the frogs hit the water a cold spell blew through and froze the pond solid leaving all the frogs frozen with just their legs sticking out, so he went back to the house and got the old reel type push mower and mowed off the frogs legs and they had a bodacious frog leg breakfast the next morning… true story, but then granddaddy was known to stretch the truth just a little bit when he was around his old railroad buddy’s. (But now you’ve read it on the internet so it must be true)

And not just due to the heat and humidity! I can't step out the door without some kind of biting insect or bug finding me and constantly buzzing around my head. And fire ants are everywhere despite the holy war I wage on them. I don't like to use any kind of repellent, they all make my skin feel hot. Even the all natural ones. None of that is a problem when its forty degrees out.
I spent a year in ND, ‘81/‘82, and I’ll take Texas and a good a/c unit ! When the ground freezes 5’ deep, I’m done !
