I too have lived here all my life, if it weren’t for my wife wanting to stay here would have left years ago…Welcome, I was born and raised in SE Portland. Worked in and around Portland as a cop for 39 years. My wife and I had a lovely beach house to retire too near Long Beach. Washington and Oregon became too much with no better lives in the future for me.
I retired sold both homes and moved to Idaho. I hated to leave, I felt I gave up for my city and state. At 64 years old others need to keep up the fight, we left. Blood pressure is low now, and I enjoy life again living in a crime free community and low tax state.
I have 2 grown sons but not any grand kids. That made leaving easier. Everyone I worked with moved out of the metro area, most out of state upon retiring. The few that stayed, mostly because they have grandkids nearby and I understand them staying. My sons visit by a 7 plus hour drive or fly into Boise on a 1 hour flight.I too have lived here all my life, if it weren’t for my wife wanting to stay here would have left years ago…

Range is a little over an hour away, but there is usually no one there weekday mornings, unless the Coast Guard is training, which is a lot of fun to watch, they get the main range, pistol and rifle ranges openAll you new members, what's your range of choice? How far do you go to shoot?
