I already have 2 blued Service Six guns with the spurred hammer from the NYPD, and another stainless DAO one. That one was polished so it's not quite original. Saw this one the other day and got it for $355. $480 with shipping and transfer. It was filthy, but I fully tore it down and it's clean again.

Beautiful weapon.

After shipping and credit card fees plus $45 transfer it came to a little less than $480.
Holy cow. I'm spoiled with my FFL friend and my $20 fee that's never changed since we first started a decade or more ago. I guess auction sites just go for the entire scalp with their fees. Really cool and good looking gun though. Anyone should be proud to have one that nice.

Yeah. I get they have to make money but it’s not even a phone call anymore. Just put the info into the system and wait for the approval. $45 for 5 minutes of your time maybe. Another one near me charges $100 if it was a gun you could have ordered from him! Doesn’t even hide it. If you want to transfer a new production gun he says “it’s $100. If you’re not gonna buy from me why should I make it easier for my competitors to get your business?” Needless to say, I stopped going to his shop.

Sounds like RangeUSA. That's their policy and system. Accidentally made that mistake once. I'll do without before buying from them.

Yeah. His prices on used guns are fair and I’ve bought plenty from him, but new guns and ammo especially are through the roof. I don’t believe I’ve ever bought a new gun from him and probably never will.

I go to an FFL that only charges $25. Everybody else around here charges $40-50.

There was one that charged only 10 for a while, but they would make you wait an extra day or two before releasing xfers. Too many to log in. My local pawn shop is only 20 and call me as soon as something arrives.
