So yesterday at the Scheels when I was buying ammunition, I saw a Ruger 41 Mag Blackhawk.
I didn’t really didn’t think about it at the time, but got home and wondered why I didn’t ask to look at it.
So I called the store today. And when they said it had three pins in the frame and just said “Blackhawk” and not “New Model Blackhawk.” I rushed right over.
$699 and no turn line, the deep bluing of the older Rugers. How awesome.
The grips are funky. They have a thin piece of wood glued to the inside to make the grip thicker.
Is this a custom sort of thing? Or is there a particular company that did this?
The grip frame is the alloy XR3-Red, Alcoa grip frame.
And it’s got a 6 1/2 barrel.
Hey, @contender , I’ll bring it out to NC so you can see it in person.
Oh, and when I bought it, as I was filling out the paperwork, the sales lady went to grab a box of ammo in case I wanted to buy ammo and the gun at the same time.

I reload for the 41 magnum, but bought the box anyway. $50 for a box of 50. Just thought I’d try some factory cowboy loads.
Oh, pictures….
The grips
They are a bit beat up at the corners.
