Tried to swap grips on my stainless Single Seven. Ordered what I thought was the correct type, those fit for the Single Six etc.
The roll pin is far too high in my frame for these. Somehow I got the idea the S7 was just a S6 chambered for 327. Could anyone explain what I should be looking for? I’ve sent Hogue a message, but would like to be as informed as I could possibly be.

I saw the new Vaquero mark the pkg indicated S6 as well. Perhaps the grips are in the wrong box?

Or were they one and the same in the past?

The package is marked correct.

It appears the contents of the package are wrong.

Yes a S7 same/same S6, Blackhawk & Vaquero…

Not New Vaquero,,,,

There is a difference between Vaquero and New Vaquero.

Hogue will make it right, good company and customer service.

The Single 7 and single ARE the same grip,XR3-RED.
The white Hoague is marked NEW VAQUERO ,,,,,,, It is a XR3, which is different.
Typing is not my forte and I too get ahead of myself ..but
I know you meant to say XR3 sized grip versus the larger XR3-RED as a true XR3 grip will not fit the New Model Vaquero

Hogue will be sending out a replacement.

I had emailed them, got nervous so called. The email was in my spam box, wish I understood how’s and why’s of that filter. Customer service was as friendly as talking with a longtime neighbor. She understood the system and products as if she had designed it all herself.

Anyway I’m not done using Hogue for a source.

Replacement arrived yesterday. Interestingly enough the package is labeled the same, on the back there is fine print explaining they do not fit the new or old XR3 frames.

They were a touch proud on the upper edge. Spent about 5 minutes on each panel lightly sanding them. This is far better than a sloppy fit, and I’m in no way upset. Otherwise these are a better fit all the way around the grip than the plywood originals.
