I haven't shot it yet but to help me rack my LCP II I removed the smaller recoil spring. Much easier to rack . Now if it will function 'under fire' I have solved one problem
This is surprising, assuming that this a Lite Rack?I haven't shot it yet but to help me rack my LCP II I removed the smaller recoil spring. Much easier to rack . Now if it will function 'under fire' I have solved one problem
My guess is that it won't reliably feed and return to battery anywhere near 100 percent. I think they're borderline to beginI haven't shot it yet but to help me rack my LCP II I removed the smaller recoil spring. Much easier to rack . Now if it will function 'under fire' I have solved one problem
I thought mine was a good close out deal at $170.,,,reminds me, I saw two of the original LCPs for sale at the Berea gunshow this weekend, and I could not,,,, could NOT rack the slides back on either one of them...recall when Ruger closed them out for $149........oh well..........
Took it to Contender's range this weekend and shot a lot of various brands and all functioned properly. Never a hic-upMy guess is that it won't reliably feed and return to battery anywhere near 100 percent. I think they're borderline to begin
with. I have two early LCP and went with two pound heavier springs to make them a bit better when either hot or dirty from
extended firing. Yes, I know that's not really something LCPs were made for.
Your LCP II may be different.
First chance to see if removing the spring would hinder the functioning. Fired it numerous times this past weekend and never a problem.I haven't shot it yet but to help me rack my LCP II I removed the smaller recoil spring. Much easier to rack . I would not remove the spring. LCP's are not built with the quality of other Pocket guns. The Proper Recoil spring will help it from cracks in the grip, etc. I have owned Many LCP's. Just bought a new one recently and the gun was extremely hard to rack. I have to really put some strength into it. I knew right away that the gun needed to be broken in. Just kept shooting it and he became fine.First chance to see if removing the spring would hinder the functioning. Fired it numerous times this past weekend and never a problem.
Good to hear that, mine never worked all that well with the "stock" springs.Took it to Contender's range this weekend and shot a lot of various brands and all functioned properly. Never a hic-up
