Decided to do an 11 degree forcing cone. Main reason was leading at the forcing cone. Also did my Uberti 1873 45 Colt. Both had rough cones.
Hopefully I can do a range report soon.

About 15 years ago I bought a Rossi model 518 double action stainless steel 22 revolver. I went to the local shooting range and was getting lots of lead spitting out between the rear of the barrel and cylinder and it got so bad it locked up the cylinder. After a good cleaning I found out there was no forcing cone, just grooves from one end of the barrel to the other end. I got a tool from Brownells for reaming a 22 RF forcing cone. I checked some other 22 revolvers forcing cones depth and copied that depth on the Rossi. It's a good shooter now. I left out the worst part of this story about trying to get Interarms the importer to fix it.
