10/22 upgrade takeoff parts Bolt & trigger assembly -wanted-

If there are OE 10/22 parts in a drawer that could use a new home, I'd like to get a bolt assembly/associated parts, and a trigger housing w/ internal parts from a later gun that has had aftermarket bolt installed, and the same BX (or better) trigger assembly swapped into a gun. Seems as if many...

    Odd happening on 10/22

I think that 'may-or-may not' has to do with side clearance for the hammer. There seems to be hammer pivot boss thickness differences, and that carries over to aftermarket trigger assembly parts. I don't know if hammer side clearance can even be shimmed (-or- might even ever be neccessary), due...

SOLD 2 pair Ruger Bisley Ivorex grips by Lett Custom $210 shipped

-REALLY- trying to convince myself. Would look right at home alongside the short Old Army (Vaquero ?) with Ivorex grip panels. I've got a pair of consecutive numbered .357 Vaquero Bisleys that these really belong on, but just dropped my spare Ruger cash this morning on some rimfire stuff...

BX vs. OE 10/22 trigger housings

Is there a difference between the original and BX trigger housings that could prevent use of parts from one into the other? I came across a post somewhere that showed photo of a dramatic difference in the BX hammer (thicker across the pivot boss ?), that leads me to think that BX parts in an OE...

    Odd happening on 10/22

When I was looking for a spare used 10/22 OE trigger assembly I found some photos and follow-up information that leads me to believe that there were some differences in -early- trigger housings that would make for problems trying to fit them into -late- guns. If I remember right, the heavy/thick...

First Post: Should I Get a Back-up Trigger Housing for 10/22?

I wanted a trigger housing for a Franklin kit and found that I could get a 'red'BX for just about $10 more than a full kit std. Ruger trigger (like $62). Now I've got a set of BX parts to experiment with along with my 3rd tier Brimstone, and the binary too. Got my hands on a Power Custom...

    recoil buffer

I ran a search about using recoil buffer(s) in the SR1911 and found no one so far that mentions thier use in these guns. Is there a reason for this? If you were to install such a product, which brand would you use? I have seen mention of slide release difficulties? using this sort of thing, Does...

    Single Stage Press Suggestions

Buy the slighly more expensive Lee Classic Cast Turret press, It is very simple to disable the auto indexing & operate as a single stage manual index if you prefer. You will not regret the choice.

.454 Factory Ammo Jumpin' the Crimp

I found and bought one of these for .45 Colt & .357 Magnum . The collet style FCD versus the resizing collar of the regular Lee FCD just might make the difference. http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=53_54&products_id=98

grey plastic Ruger box for an Old Army

This box has a rectangle/trapezoid cavity that is big enough for a set of Hogue rubber grips for a Blackhawk swimming in it. It is certainly more than sizable enough for the cable lock that came with my Bisley Vaquero. I'd use that box for reference but the barrel of the Old Army is much longer.

grey plastic Ruger box for an Old Army

I'm looking for an original Ruger plastic case for my Old Army with the Vaquero fixed sight style of frame & a 7-1/2" barrel. I found an ad on eBay that has a box in the right range of size, but I trying to determine if my gun will fit it. The seller says that he THINKS it is a box for a Redhawk...
