I lucked into a 77/22 Hornet at a steal that has the full CPC package of rechambering, bolt tightening and trigger job. The very first magazine full I shot out of it was 0.5" at 100 yds using PPU factory ammo. This gun is amazingly accurate with everything I've tried in it. There's a 77/22...

I'll be very interested to see how you do your barrel band front sight. I'm contemplating trying something similar on Bisley that I've been gathering parts on for my own home smithing project.

Whoops! Just read my post and it's .040 taller, not 0.40.

Hamilton Bowen lists a rear sight for the Super Redhawk, GP-100, and the Hunter model that is 0.40 taller than the standard Blackhawk sight. You might find a factory sight for one of those models, or just spring for the Bowen which a far superior sight IMO.

The grip frame on the 5 1/2 SBH is the same as Ruger uses on the 4 5/8 SBH.
