I have not but shouldering the the Savage MkII BTVLSS it is very comfortable. I have a very bad shoulder so even 22lr can be a problem , thus the search. Thank you for your reply.

Does anyone know if there is a thumbhole stock for the American in 22lr?

Thank you all for the responses and suggestions. I'm going to get a pair of the older stocks because I think they are good looking but my guess is that the grips on there one will be the ones I shoot with most often. I'm old enough that my hands and most of the rest of me hurt a lot of the time...

Doing a little searching it looks like I can get a set from Chip's grips.

I do like the looks of those, similar to the one on my SP101. I may get a set if they are still available.

I'm weak, I called the store today, they had a 4" SS GP100 which they didn't have Saturday. So now I'll be picking that up rather than the blued.

I paid $529 around a month ago, new from the LGS.
