i have used it in the hornet 12.5 grains with a 40 sierra hp got me 3/8" groups at a hundred(3 shots) call hodgdon about the minimums and maximums for your mag loads. i do know the minimum 44 mag load with a 300 grain bullet is 16 grains of lilgun. here is the link...

called hodgdon today. it is ok to use trail boss with the 315 grain bullet in 44 mag. max load is all the powder to where base of bullet will be seated. minimum is 30% of that max load.

COR, no offense taken. note taken on not to mess with lilgun and filler. i have thrown out lilgun for all light loads.
