Just my two cents..., most shooting (home break-in) occur in the evening or late hours. Most perps are not armed, but regardless if they are or not an armed homeowner firing 10 rounds, bright flashes, lot's of noise, screaming and confusion it really doesn't matter what caliber you are firing!!!

Great firearm!! The take down will not be an issue after a few times. Nothing bad to say about my 22/45 MIII, thousands of rounds thru it.

My Ruger 9mm's a 93 and 95 have been flawless using Winchester White Box and Tula from Walmart, both are more accurate than I am and no issues of being off sight. What type of magazines are you using? From what I have read Ruger and MecGar are the two brands to use and other cheaper brands...

I just purchased 4 MecGars, blue 15 rounders for my P93/95.., $19.95 per magazine and $5.95 shipping averaged out to $21.43 per shipped. Best I could find. I will pm you the link if interested.

Glock 19 would my first followed by my Glock 30. I am a Ruger fan but have to rely on my experience with these two and the thousands of rounds without ever an issue.
