Thank you but I don't see any wooden inserts that you refer to. I only see a screw on the butt which I have removed and I am trying to slide the grip off but it wont budge.

I am having trouble removing the original rubber molded grips and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance

I purchased a NIB KGP141 today and found what appears to be a small piece of copper wire in a plastic bag stapled to the Owners Manual. Any explanation would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
