I have a 183 series Mini 14. I'd like to change the stock and use a bipod. Does anyone know what the limitations are with a 183 series? I googled it but that wasn't worth the time... thanks!

I have a SP101 .327 (sitting right beside me) that I have sent about 1000 rounds through. The only time I had a problem was after I had used a box of Prvi Partizan 32 S&W long followed by Federal .327 The problem was that the lead from the 32 S&W caked so badly that I could not eject the .327...

What is the difference between a pre-ban mini 14 and a post-ban? I am in the process of purchasing an all wood, all stainless steel pre-ban mini and am trying to figure out the difference between that and a new one. I know the magazines are different, but what else if anything is different? thanks!
