Got my grips today from carbonfibrebob. They were as described, brand new. They fit perfect and Bob was a gentleman to deal with! Thanks again Bob. Now to find another set for my 4inch! Haha.
I just missed a brand new set for $30 on eBay. That's why I held off on $50. I don't think I will go over $40. Probably go with Pachmayr's and stay on the lookout for Uncle Mikes.
I sure would like to find a nice set of Uncle Mikes grips for my Redhawk. Or Butler Creek. Not sure if they are the same grips. Would anybody out there have a set they would be willing to sell. Thanks!
I have a Sourdough Pancake for my GP100 and will occasionally carry my Security Six in it. Wouldn't mind finding a good used one specifically for my Security Six!
I can tell you from experience that not all Glock .357 mags will function reliably in .40 and vice versa. Especially older ones. Sig P229 mags will, and are designed to, but not all Glocks. The followers in some of these Glock mags are different between the two calibers. I found this out first...
Lead Away is what I use too. I thought maybe the Mobile One would act as film and make it easier to clean up. I know a well oiled AR star chamber and bolt carrier group that's well oiled cleans up easier than a dry one. The carbon doesn't seem to be as hard.
I will continue to use the Lead Away.
I'm just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to reduce the carbon rings on the face of stainless cylinders. I was considering rubbing a light coat of mobile one grease to see if it would help during clean up. It's high heat resistant. Any reason this could cause a problem?
I know burn...
