    .358 Win "Pig Scout"

My cousin has hunted hogs in Northwest Florida for decades. He has always considered them dangerous game--uses a Reminington 742 in 30-06 and always carries two spare loaded magazines!

TALO's 2 1/2" Ruger Redhawk .44 Mag Real Guns write up

That would be a downsized Super Redhawk...the Super Redhawk and GP100 share the same action design. The action on the Redhawk is unique to the Redhawk. I would swap my 5.5" Redhawk for a Super Redhawk in a hearbeat if the "Super" had the Redhawk's barrel.

Thunderbolt ammo totally plugged my barrel today

I had the same problem back in the seventies with some lead Federal .22 LR ammo. I wouldn't shoot the Thunderbolt ammo if I could get it for free. My .22 LR ammo of choice is the standard Remington plated hollowpoints. They are clean and give excellent results in all of my .22 LR firearms.

    .45acp in a revolver

A .45 auto pistol magazine makes a dandy sort-of-speed loader for a single action .45 ACP. Roll the cylinder with one hand while stripping the rounds from the magazine into the loading port with the other. I found this to be a lot simpler and faster than carrying belt-loop/loose rounds for a...

    Best/Favorite P Series

I wasn't sure Ruger made a 95DAO--that's why I bought a P93DAO. Do you want to trade? Now, if I just had a P90DAO (do they exist?), I would be in Hog Heaven!

    New SR9c

CrossBreed makes a SuperTuck model that fits the SR9c as well as the SR9. I bought a used SR9 as a companion to the SR9c. To my great surprise, the shorter SR9c shoots rings around the SR9!

    FS; USN Officers sword

Would you happen to know the length of the blade? When buying one for uniform wear, you had to get the correct length for your size. I'm 6'2" had to buy one with a 32" blade. The Made in USA stamp should increase the value. Back in 1970, the choices were German or Spanish (the Spanish made...

Ruger 50th anniversary design contest 10/22 available

Lets see how well this new 10/22 meets my needs: 1. Stock has adjustable length and comb height: Great! I'm tired of having to add recoil pads to stock 10/22 rifles to give them the length of pull I need. 2. Click repeatable peep sights: How many of you have gone through the frustration of...

I've never seen a blue RedHawk. I thought they were all stainless. Well, you learn something everyday...

    Best/Favorite P Series

.45 ACP: Shooting - P90DC, carrying - P345DC. The P90 would always outshoot the P345. The P345 was sold years ago. 9mm: P93DAO with Crimsom Trace laser grips. This is the wife's house gun at the moment. My dream "P" gun? P90DAO with Crimsom Trace grips. Did they ever make a P90DAO?

    Revolver for my wife

Our family has one LCR in .22LR and three in .38. The .22's trigger pull is somewhat heavier than any of the .38s. Since I don't have a trigger-pull scale I can't give you any numbers, but the difference is obvious to anyone who has shot them. Is it "very heavy"? That would depend on your...

    Price check, P90 decock pistol......

Condition 1 (1911) fires from a cocked hammer. The P90 DA/SA can only be carried safely with the hammer uncocked. Yes both modes require but a single trigger pull to fire, but there is a -BIG- difference when that trigger pull is single action vs. double action. I have a P93DAO (9mm, double...

    Price check, P90 decock pistol......

If the P90DC could be carried cocked-and-locked (Jeff Cooper Condition 1), I would have never considered buying a 1911.
