Ruger seems to be pretty hit and miss quality wise. I had to send two of the last four Rugers I bought back to the factory for repair. Thats a 50% failure rate as far as I`m concerned. I wont be buying any Rugers for a while.

My LCR had a huge (relatively speaking) hole blown into the frame with aluminum alloy splatter blown back onto the cylinder actually damaging it directly above every charge hole. Your picture doesn't look anything like mine did, I think your fine.

Thats the way I was taught and have always done it. I`ve tried other ways but they just don't seem as natural to me.

Years ago I lived in an apartment and had a small safe as you describe. I just wrapped them in towels then, but now I`d probably put them in a gun sack. I hope your little safe is bolted down.

I love the single actions but there is no doubt double actions are quicker to shoot. If in bear country carrying a double action is wise.

I think the LCR looks kinda cool in a tool sort of way because too me its just that, a tool. Like a hammer or a saw I don't really care what it looks like as long as it does its intended job well. For me the LCR fits the bill nicely.
