Congrats on the new EBR (Evil Black Rifle), Dan. So which model did you purchase? As far as tips, my first one is to spend some time familiarizing yourself with how the AR pattern rifle works. Practice with an empty magazine, load, unload, reload, safe/fire/safe, find the charging handle...

Look for a nice set of hi-vis sights, such as those offered at TandemKross. I always do better with a fiber optic front and either an outline or two dot rear sight.

It looks a lot like my Mk II except for the ambi safety and that rear take down button. It is a HELL of a lot easier to break down than the Mk II! I like that! :D

it went so so at the range but only because the rear adjustable sight only adjusts one way. I think it should go both ways but the screw only moves in the clockwise position. I do have a call into Ruger regarding the adjustment issue. But...it ran well on a truly mixed supply of ammo, it is...

Well, I just couldn't help myself. I had to do a little bit of self gifting as my wife won't buy me firearms. I have to do it all by myself. :mrgreen: I just acquired a new Mark IV Target. I am looking forward to getting it out to the range one evening this week. I LOVE how this current model...
