I don’t mind the decocker or the 1911 style cocked and locked safety. When I go the the range, particularly if I’m shooting a competition, I take a little time refamilizing myself with that specific gun. For home defense I don’t want an external safety (same for carry but there is no carry in NJ...
There is a market, but not a huge one. I've been eyeing up p95's on GB but then I ask myself "do I need another pistol?" I also answer myself by saying "I don't have a 9mm Ruger so....."
That's odd. I wonder if the bolt is a couple hundreds of an inch too small preventing a really good lock up. I'd try some Teflon plumbers tape on the threads for some easy and low cost troubleshooting.
I have Williams fire sights on my 22/45. Red front, green rear the rear sight is adjustable. I an very happy with the sights but I have one issue. The rear sight set screws easily loosen and the sight flops out of alignment. I sighted it in at 25 yards, used a dremmel to mark the correct...
I have a BSA 12-20x50 (big scope) on one of my 10/22's. With the scope and other upgrades I shoot penny sized targets at 100 yards. I wouldn't use the BSA on a centerfire but it works great on the 10/22.
I'm happy that I get to decide for myself what I will and will not use to defend my home and family. I have my PC4 unloaded hanging from the ceiling of my bedroom closet, I have my P94 loaded in a bio safe along with 3 additional magazines. When something happens I want 2 guns easily accessable...
I have an Uncle Mikes for my P94 and am very pleased.
I disagree with the gentleman who likes Fobus holsters. I find them to be cheap and irritating. The Fobus I had for my 1911 was too tight, not adjustable for tention and it scratched the finish.
I agree that shared magazines are an advantage.
I have a Ruger P94-40 and PC4
3x10/22's and a USFA Zip handgun.
S&W 5906 and a Kel Tec Sub 2000 which uses 59 series mags.
I also have a Glock 22 which can work with a number of different rifles but I haven't purchased one yet.
I shoot whatever ammo I can get cheaply out of mine incliding lead bullets, steel and aluminum cases. I have not had a single issue. As stated before, parts are nearly impossible to find so reassemble it correctly and don't take it apart beyond field stripping. The trigger tends to stink on...
