Aaron Pursley finished it, yep he signed it thankfully. Not sure on 3 since I didn't meet him. I wasn't sure how the pinto look would turn out but I am very happy with it. I saw a few examples that left the grip frame sort of polished and definitely did not want that so to have the dull finish...

It's been many years now and so many life events have transpired. I finally got around to talking to an engraver and he agreed to do the work. Back in late October I dropped it off and discussed finishing it up. I requested a simple job just to tie it in. He didn't need to go whole hog on it...

Thanks RJ, I'll have to give Ruger a call. They aren't all that expensive. Midway has the short action one for $170.

Long action, checkered, its going on a 7 Mag but I can make some careful cuts if necessary. The Boyds one isn't bad but doesn't have the right profile and its not checkered, its also a monte carlo comb which won't look right.

Maybe not in a new one, but my older one chews through CCI Standard Velocity, Federal GMM 711B (1050 FPS), and Subsonic HP just fine.

On my first SR, the slide stop pin that goes through the barrel link is just slightly smaller diameter than standard. You may have to change the link or drill out the one you have.

Chip McCormick makes flat base 8 rd magazines if you want the extra capacity without any additional bulk. They don't really bother me, although for the shooting I do, the 8 rounders get used much more.

I've also used the Rimrock version of this bullet and they fit fine in 2 of my GPs.

I use a lot of Titegroup, for all those cartridges. Typically I load my .357s with 180/185 grain bullets and H110 though.

Accuracy is not an issue with my Clements 10mm GP100 when shooting .40 S&W. It is more accurate with the .40 S&W than 10mm.
