Yeah… I wish I had a belt sander, I had to do all this, mostly by hand.
I roughed in the Grip frame with the grinding wheel I sharpen my mower blades with, The rest was just done with the file and different Sand papers.
It feels really good in the hand.
Always wanted to try my hand at doing a round-butt on a Blackhawk but my guns were too new to experiment on, we’ll I got this old new model from my daughter and out of the blue…I just started doing it.

I’ve owned an early model and MIM model SP101,..a S&W Continental in between those, after checking out my son’s buddy’s Kimber I’d go with one of those instead of a Smith or Ruger (if my wallet was flush) …they’re smooth!
Can’t go wrong with any of those three.
