Got a new Reloading machine...or two

You can go on the Lee Website and order all the spare parts you want for free with free shipping. I did that, many years ago, and the spare parts are still sitting in the parts bin.

Got a new Reloading machine...or two

And for those who are unaware, Lee Precision has the exact same warranty that actually works a little better than Dillon's. I've got Lee and Dillon reloaders, so I'm speaking from experience.

    Light primer strike question

contender is right about Federal being the softest. As to the hardest, my vote is for CCI. I've known a number of people who had problems with light strikes with them and ended up switching to Winchester to eliminate the problem.

Just an observation on carrying in my state

And almost nonexistent in suburban areas, like Gilbert where I live.

Just an observation on carrying in my state

Open Carry has been legal here forever. I haven't seen anyone do it in over a year.

    How Safe is your Collection

1,150 pound safe here and that's an empty weight. It's full. Plus there's no way to get a vehicle anywhere near where it is so that's a good thing.

    Sight Picture

And the trigger pull absolutely sucks on those Bond Arms guns.

    Electronic powder scale

I've got a RCBS partner digital scale I bought at a gun show around 25 years ago. I check it against my Ohaus 10-10 from time to time and it's always within 0.1 Grain so I'm good to go. Once when taking a break from working in High Tech Medical Electronics companies I went to work for Friden...

    Warmer weather cover garments.

XL T shirt with lots of pictures on the back as a distraction. Works fine here in Sunny Arizona

Your Opinion Mark II or Mark IV

Always liked the Mark pistols but never liked them enough to buy one until the Mark IV came along. Woman I shoot with brought one to the weekly shooting session, let me field strip it and I bought one the next day.

    Basic Dillon Question

You're correct. By the way, the slight taper in the bottom of the sizing die is to compensate for the poor indexing of the press itself which can cause problems. Unfortunately I've had a few friends who ran into problems caused by the slight taper in the die. In STI guns with match chambers...

    Basic Dillon Question

Nope. I just checked and you can buy the Dillon with or without dies. It costs extra to get it with dies.

Mini 14: Upgrade It or Sell Off and Buy New

Bill Ruger himself called the Mini 14 "the world's most expensive plinker" IIRC.

    Just getting started with 9mm

I bought a 9MM case gauge way back when I first started reloading 9MM. Gauged the first 2,000 and not a single one failed to gauge. So I quit gauging them and a few years later I had 2 loaded rounds that failed to chamber. Examination showed that those two cases were 0.016" longer than SAAMI...

    Another handgun reloading question....

So you're saying the Lee FCD took out the hourglass shape from the case? The only way that could happen is if it squeezed the bullet in on all sides and thus elongated the bullet. Is that what happened? If so, was it a lead bullet, not jacketed or plated.
