I did obtain a letter from Ruger and a phone call. The letter stated that the revolver was sent to Ellet Bros. Distributor. Unfortunately, Ellet bros. went down with United Sporting. I received a phone call from Ruger from a nice lady. She apologized for me having to spend the money for...
I ran across a 156 Series Security Six stamped "Property of USMC" on the back strap. Would it be a legit gun? I never heard of a USMC Security Six.
Thanks,

So in looking close at the front end of a 180 series that I have (Only a chopped front end, not the whole stock), it looks like the steel barrel channel liner is about the same, the only difference that pops out at me is that the wood along the barrel channel is about 3/16" higher on the post...
I just picked up a nice 1975 vintage Mini-14 with a 180 series serial number. It is in need of a stock. I had 2 stock sets here with wood hand guards here, so I though I was good to go. Not so I find out. The nose is much lower in profile. Are the differences in the dimensions published...
So, I picked up a Blackhawk .44 Mag Flat Top. The previous owner must have thought he needed more grip in his grips, so he did this.....
Basically, a very heavy urethane-like finish with particles of sparkle or something embedded in it. None of the basic solvents would touch it, so I soaked...
I have been fortunate to have amassed quite a bit of reloading components over the years, usually at auctions or estate sales. Just when you think you have way too much, an ammo crisis sets in. I can load .44 mag and .45 Colt for pennies per round based on what I paid for stuff years ago...
I just couldn't let it go without trying to get it better. The new blades from Taylors dont have the pin hole drilled. So, I used the original for a template, traced and center-punched the hole, then traced the new profile and ground the new, new one with the slightly higher profile, and...
It's been a while, but I have an update on this. I tried working with some heavier bullet reloads, but had no success. I went back to 158 gr SWC's, trying several types, and the gun was shooting 24" low at 25 yds. My .44 Russian and .45 Colt Schofield print POA. I found a front sight...
I have this leather holster for sale. It is embossed with the Ruger eagle and and has a Ruger logo button. The holster is marked 9/12. $35 + $5 S&H.
Thanks for looking.

I just use water, a few squirts of Simple Green and an old trick I learned years ago, a teaspoon of phosphoric acid. Not critical that you have the acid. The cases rolling over themselves make them shine like new. You can get food grade phosphoric acid on Ebay. I wouldn't say its really...
